PAUL E NELSON

CC GalleryThe artist’s cooperative gallery in Seattle’s vibrant Columbia City neighborhood (where I live) has added a really engaging Literary Arts series and I’ll be reading on Sunday, December 13. (See the image below.) The gallery has recently experienced a sharp increase in the quality of work they are presenting and the current show has some excellent work. The vibe of the place is suddenly a lot more collaborative and the reading Sunday with my collaborator and world class flute player, Jim O’Halloran, promises to be a good one.

Buy the book, $11.99.

This is the 3rd reading for my new book, all in this neighborhood, which is experiencing a sudden rush of gentrification. This is NOT going down well with a lot of people who have been here a long time and I am lucky to be living in the new Angeline Apartments above the beautiful new PCC, which is ridiculously convenient. Fortunately another transplant who has landed in the neighborhood stepped up to sponsor this series and give the poets a little something for their performances. Come celebrate the combination of poetry and music, support the gallery artists and the poets and leave inspired.
