We do what we know before we know what we do–  Charles Olson.

Make It True CoverLittle did I know in 2012 that the first Cascadia Poetry Festival would be the start of a 20 year bioregional cultural investigation of Cascadia and that a poetry anthology, two more fests, many interviews and a MOOC would also happen in such a short period of time with such little institutional funding. But thanks to poets interested in this work, like Jared Leising, Nadine Antoinette Maestas, Joe Chiveney, Barry McKinnon, George Stanley, Judith Roche, Ursula Vaira and many others, it has happened. There are 16 years to go but tomorrow (Thursday, March 3rd at 11am) as part of the MOOC, we’ll live stream a panel with Judith, Nadine and Barry. Cascadia Reading & MOOC Celebration PosterAnd in the evening (7pm 3.3.16) we’ll have a reading/celebration here at my new home in the Angeline in the heart of historic Columbia City with Barry McKinnon, Judith Roche and Bill Mawhinney. Thanks to everyone who is making this happen. https://cascadiapoeticslab.org/…/mckinnon-roche-and-mawhinn…/
