2013 Ginsberg Marathon Poster by Tessa Hulls

Tessa Hulls and I met when she donated a poster for the 2013 edition of the Allen Ginsberg Open Mic Poetry marathon. On February 20, 2024 I caught up with her on Zoom to discuss her first book, a graphic memoir Feeding Ghosts.

The interview’s Zoom version is presented here and the audio version of the interview is our latest edition in the podcast series Cascadian Prophets.

What a joy it was to reconnect with Tessa. You can attend the launch of her new book at Town Hall, Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 7:30pm, Wyncote NW Forum 1119 8th Ave (Entrance off Seneca St.) Seattle, Washington 98101

Tessa Hulls is an artist, a writer, and an adventurer. Her essays have appeared in The Washington Post, Atlas Obscura, and Adventure Journal, and her comics have been published in The Rumpus, City Arts, and SPARK.
