Nate Mackey – The Serial Poem
Nathaniel Mackey, American poet, novelist, anthologist, literary critic and editor, is Professor of English at Duke University and a Chancellor of The Academy of American Poets. The editor and publisher of Hambone since 1982, he won the National Book Award for Poetry in 2006. He talked with Paul Nelson on two occasions, March 11, 2011 and August 24, 2012. The latest interview being about Nod House, Mackey’s 2011 book of poetry, on the serial poem and the soul-building experience writing poetry can be.
