Diane Di Prima is perhaps the most well-known female poet of the Beat Literary movement.  She discussed how she decided at age fourteen to dedicate her life to poetry, how she first came upon the work of the founding members of the Beat movement, and her difficult path as a woman writer in the 1950s.
