Poetry as Neuro-Resilience
What are the practices that keep your own consciousness attuned to the realities of the world and how to navigate them?
In the first of a series of four 5 week workshops, Cascadia Poetics Lab founder Paul E Nelson takes you through the practices that aid near-resilience and the poetry written from depth. All levels of experiencer are welcome and no one is required to read their work around in the zoom session. The only requirement is openness and a dedication to the exercises and course materials. Materials are released a week in advance and a weekly 5-8 minute check-in during the Zoom session allows participants to ask questions, and get guidance for their own practice. Journaling is strongly recommended as a component of the workshop and materials will include reading poems and essays, watching or listening to interviews and weekly writing exercises. This workshop takes off where Poetics as Cosmology and Life as Rehearsal for the Poem left off last spring. The focus will be poetry from the Cascadia bioregion.
