This page is for participants in the Life as Rehearsal for the Poem workshop, Year 2 (2021/2022). (How this got its name, here.) My hope is that I can work more deeply with a small group of people who are interested in this ongoing effort to help all participants in going deeper into their own work, facilitator included. Workshops will happen from 4-6pm Sundays:
October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31.
January 16, 23, 30, Feb 6 & 13.
March 6, 13, 20, 27 & April 3.
April 24, May 1, 8, 15 & 22 and break for the summer.
It is my hope that participants will participate in the next Poetry Postcard Fest and act as ambassadors for this work. (Just participating in this workshop is supporting the Cascadia Poetics LAB and appreciated and you are all welcome to our Founding Supporters reading November 5. 2021.)
In our first week, I hope to hear about your postcard fest experience and/or what you are working on and what issues (if any) you are having doing it, or what help you need. Of course, your thoughts about the materials is always key and your questions are most welcome. You might want to prepare some notes for your check-in.

Write a love letter to one of your scars, or several of them. They could be physical or emotional scars. What do these scars remind you of? (Extra points for tying in Louise Hay or Traditional Chinese Medicine, or some other holistic medicine approach to mind/body.) Example linked here. One by Ann Graham Walker here.
If you have a series going now, you can continue, or maybe this exercise can be a prompt for it.
